Our family
The story of the Secci’s family
The Secci brothers’ farm has distant origins, those of a family that has been involved in pastoralism for generations, raising native Sardinian sheep and transforming milk into fine pecorino.

WE CARRY ON OUR WORK IN THE SIGN OF TRADITION WITH LOVE AND PASSION
From Barbagia to the coast.
The Secci brothers’ farm has distant origins, those of a family that has been involved in pastoralism for generations, raising native Sardinian sheep and transforming milk into fine pecorino.
We started from Desulo, a small town in Barbagia at the foot of the Gennargentu mountains, with the practice of transhumance, in Sardinian “in Viaggiu”, to indicate the journey that was still done on foot, since the end of the 1800s, to bring in the periods winter the flock from the mountainous areas towards the plains and the seaside places.
Our family settled permanently in the 1980s in Scivu, on the south-western coast of Sardinia, where we still breed our native sheep.
We carry on with love and passion the work of a shepherd in the sign of tradition, and still today we continue to produce a Sardinian pecorino with only milk from our flocks.
Today as then, we work raw milk to leave unchanged that ancient flavor synonymous with authenticity. Over the years we have resisted a modernization process, opting for a choice determined by wanting to maintain the rigor of family hard work which translates into the traditional and personal dairy art expressed by Scivu pecorino Cheese.
